Who am I?

Gregory - On Ice
Hi, my name’s Gregory or in Chinese 高瑞 (gao1 rui4). I’m a British guy from the commuter belt area of Hertfordshire, just north of London. I haven’t lived in Britain now for several years and currently I’m enjoying it that way.
In 2008 I spent a year living in the backwaters of Henan Province, China before moving on for another year in Australia and then several months in New Zealand. I’m currently living and working out of Guangzhou, China as an English Teacher whilst working on several other projects connected to my IT background.

Blog Highlights
This blog is intended for several purposes. I’m trying to keep an eye on China and the wonderful and sometimes bizarre things that I see here, whilst also writing about technology, politics and anything else that I feel worthy of a comment or discussion. I encourage people to leave a comment and engage me in discussion as much as possible. Lively debate has always been something I thrive on and here should be no different. Friend and family can also keep track of my life here. I may also use this blog from a professional point of view, giving some insight into my current work and projects.
