About The Author

Gregory, himself

Gregory, himself

The personal and professional blog of Gregory Orton owner and manager of geejayoh IT Services.

The Story So Far…

Gregory is a 25 year old ex-pat British guy, currently a resident of Fremantle, Western Australia and works freelance as a System Administrator for local governments. With 5 years experience in working for large and small companies, in corporate and academic environments he chose to take a year out and travel to China in 2008. The year was spent teaching spoken English to university students in a remote part of Henan province.

Something interesting

Amongst other things he is a keen reader, avid cinema-goer and amateur film-critic. He likes peanut butter on cereal and is prone to fits of wild imagination and fancy. He designs, codes and markets websites as well as deploying systems projects to his customers as his primary duties for geejayoh IT. He also consults with colleagues at other companies and assists in IT procurement projects and design decisions.

A little hubris

Gregory has a broad set of specialist skills and can be relied upon to pay a great amount of attention to detail whilst never losing sight of the big picture. He is an accomplished IT trainer and can help train a technical or non-technical audience.

Currently

After some further time in Western Australia, the time will come to explore the rest of the mighty island. Gregory will move on, plotting a course north from Perth and proceed to take a clockwise course around finally finishing the journey in Melbourne. After this a few months spent amongst the simply stunning landscapes of New Zealand will be followed by a return to the motherland of China, utilising readily available skills to grow the scope of geejayoh to greater heights.
